Cool story:
So this car has almost 5 million views on YouTube. First was purchased in California by Kevin Brown aka Junkyard Digs and he drove it back to Madrid Iowa with no reverse and no oil pressure leaking oil the whole way. Also no heat and it was below 0 by the time get back to the Midwest. Then he let it sit for a few years and sold it to his buddy Dalton Summit aka Pole Barn Garage and he drove it back to Kansas City area with little to no oil pressure and no reverse. He pulled the engine which was a 351 Windsor and a FMX transmission. Tore it down to find the front seal completely shot and the front main bearing in the oil pan so all the oil pressure was spraying out of the front of the engine. He talked about doing another episode and swapping in a 460 and a c6. A few months go by and one night after a couple drinks I was watching Pole Barn Garage and looking for a land yacht on Facebook Marketplace to road trip to the Bonneville Salt Flats this year and seen the car in the background of the video I was watching of his. I had his email from a previous time he was selling some old projects and shot him a message if he was willing to sell it. He messaged me back the next day with his phone number and we cut a deal. A few weeks later I went and loaded it up and brought it home. I had acquired a 1973 Ford Country Sedan from my uncles estate that was too far gone and couldn’t find the title for to use as a parts car. I also had already purchased a 460 and C6 from Mark Moore, a family friend. Then recently over the course of 2 weeks I tore down both engines a 429 and a 460 and used the rotating assembly out of one and the block and heads from the other and got it all together and dropped in and the car running. Still have a few things to sort out but will be in Bonneville later this summer!
